Recommended Survival Gear

When we’re looking at survival gear, we’re not really going for the best camping gear you can buy, we’re looking for things like how much space it takes up, how much it weighs and if it has any other uses than just the main thing it’s designed for.

In a survival situation, it’s all about staying alive, not necessarily staying comfortable.

Cordage

Titan SurvivorCord – This stuff is really great. Titan SurvivorCord has fishing line, a 30 gauge trapping wire, and waxed jute tinder all while still maintaining the internal strands traditional 550 cord comes with.

Lightweight Tent

Don’t Die In The Woods Ultralight Survival Tent – This little two-man tent is pretty impressive. It’s really just a strong emergency blanket with some 550 cord that folds up into a package a little larger than the size of your hand. It’s cheap and it works!

Food

S.O.S. Emergency Food Rations – Out of all the survival rations, I like the S.O.S. Emergency Rations the best. They don’t taste great but each serving is wrapped individually so once you open the package, you don’t have to worry about the rest of the bar getting wet or falling apart.
